What we are looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Operations Lead to join our compliance team. The Compliance Operations Lead will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day compliance operations, managing compliance processes and procedures, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the compliance team, including transaction monitoring, customer due diligence (CDD), and sanctions screening processes;

  • Enhance and/or develop compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices;

  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of compliance processes and controls to identify areas for improvement and enhance efficiency and effectiveness;

  • Monitor and analyze regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business operations, recommending and implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance;

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, risk management, and product development, to implement compliance solutions and address regulatory issues;

  • Provide guidance and training to compliance team members on compliance processes, regulations, and best practices, fostering a culture of compliance and excellence;

  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports, filings, and disclosures as required by applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  •  Bachelor's degree in finance, law, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CAMS) preferred;

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance operations, preferably in the financial services or cryptocurrency industry;

  • Proven track record of enhancing efficiency of compliance processes;

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to AML/KYC, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting;

  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of compliance professionals;

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess regulatory issues and develop practical solutions;

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders;

  • Fluency in English and Dutch; proficiency in other languages is a plus;

  • Experience with compliance technology solutions and data analytics tools preferred.
