Who are we
We are Coinmerce, a European cryptocurrency platform with Dutch roots. Our mission is to make crypto simple, secure and accessible to everyone, both individuals and professionals. Coinmerce is registered as a crypto broker with De Nederlandsche Bank and serves customers in more than 10 European countries. In the near future, we will develop new financial products and launch our platform in even more countries. Coinmerce stands for transparency, which is reflected in our office in Schiphol-Rijk. Your profile
We’re looking for a Design System UI Designer.Together with the other designers you will work on improving the design process and building our Design System in Figma. You will work closely with everyone in the product development team to design features and improvements from wireframe to fully functioning prototype.
Responsibilities- Collaborative Design:
- Collaborate closely with the design team, developers and other stakeholders to properly scope the assignments. This will allow you to seamlessly integrate into the product development process, resulting in the best designs possible for both web and app.
- Own The Process:
- Manage communication and alignment on design across these teams, guarding the process, so you enable yourself to create your best work, from draft to prototype.
- Fast-Paced Environment:
- We have our Product Development milestones but we also like to add value fast. You can adapt both your ideas and designs to feedback quickly, while you're also able to prioritise the most important design matters efficiently to keep moving forward.
- Tool Proficiency:
- You know your way around Figma, and besides bringing your design concepts to life, you will help to improve and build our design process & system with your knowledge on components, variables and prototypes. You'll also stay up to date with other tools in the creative landscape.
Design Language:
Make sure that what you have designed has been translated properly, test your work when it has been build.
Go through our platform and see where you can improve our current design the design.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in UX & UI design (not graphic design), preferably within a company that provided SaaS or enterprise products;
- Understanding of components, variables, UI states and prototypes;
- Ability to showcase your design files and/or design systems using an online portfolio that displays examples of system design, product design (especially mobile), and a highly-developed eye for design detail, consistency, and quality;
- Experience working with management and working directly together with developers;
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills that allow you to uncover the true problem your designs have to solve;
- Proficient in English, Dutch is preferred;
- Proficiency in Figma and other design tools;
- Experience designing B2B and B2C products;
- Contribute to building, maintaining, and evolving reusable components for our platform libraries (web and app);
- Contribute to identifying opportunities for simplifying designs across our platform;
- Great understanding of design systems, interaction design principles and patterns, and web accessibility standards;
- Experience initiating or getting support for a new design system at scale, preferably at a consumer tech company.
Nice to have:
- Expertise in one or two prototyping tools, like Origami, Protopie or InVision
