About the role

As a Procurement Specialist at Coinmerce, you will play a key role in managing vendor relationships, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring cost-effective sourcing of goods and services critical to our crypto brokerage, market-making, and all other operations. In an industry where technology, security, and compliance (hello DORA) are paramount, your expertise will help drive efficient procurement strategies that support business growth while mitigating risks associated with third-party providers.

You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts for all suppliers but with focus on the critical vendors, including technology providers, cloud services, cybersecurity solutions, and financial infrastructure partners. You will work closely with Finance, IT, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure all purchases align with DORA and GDPR requirements and industry best practices. Your ability to analyze supplier performance, optimize costs, and enforce compliance standards will be crucial in maintaining operational resilience and efficiency in a fast-moving crypto environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the firm’s operational and technology needs.

  • Manage vendor selection, negotiation, and contract execution for the entire organisation.

  • Ensure all procurement activities align with DORA, MiCA, and other regulatory standards for third-party risk management.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs, optimize costs, and manage supplier relationships.

  • Conduct risk assessments on vendors, ensuring compliance with security, operational resilience, and data protection policies.

  • Monitor vendor performance, resolve procurement issues, and drive continuous improvement in sourcing strategies.

What you bring:

  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or supply chain operations, preferably in crypto, fintech, or financial services.

  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing contracts.

  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, cost optimization, and third-party risk management.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as DORA, MiCA, and GDPR for vendor governance.

  • Experience working with cloud providers and SaaS procurement.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess supplier risks and optimize procurement strategies.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment.

  • Proficiency in procurement tools and contract management platforms.

Nice to haves:
  • Experience in crypto exchange infrastructure, blockchain or fintech procurement.

  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other IT security standards for vendor compliance.

  • Certifications such as CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager).

  • Experience with DeFi service providers and chain analytics tools.
