About the role

In order to expand our engineering department, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help manage the rapid growth of our crypto-fintech platform. As a DevOps Engineer for Coinmerce, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines, and ensuring the absolute security and scalability of our services. You will work closely with engineering and security teams to streamline processes and maintain our high standards for system uptime.

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Management: Build and maintain stable, scalable cloud infrastructures and configurations for running microservices.

  • Pipeline Automation: Design and improve CI/CD releasing pipelines to empower your engineering colleagues.

  • System Stability: Proactively spot and fix potential weaknesses in configurations to improve overall system uptime and performance.

  • Security & Compliance: Protect the platform by staying ahead of the latest CVEs and security trends within the IT and crypto space.

  • Incident Resolution: Provide dedicated support to resolve server issues and downtime, maintaining a "don't stop until it's solved" mindset.

  • Observability & Monitoring: Implement robust logging, metrics, and alerting frameworks to gain deep visibility into microservices, ensuring proactive detection of anomalies before they impact the platform.

What you bring

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in designing, developing, and maintaining microservice-based web application cloud infrastructures.

  • Industry: Experience working within Cloud-native environments, preferably in Fintech or high-growth tech sectors.

  • Technical Skills: Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (App Engine, Cloud Run, GKE), KubernetesTerraform, and relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).

  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving, a collaborative team-player attitude, and the ability to mentor and pass knowledge to colleagues.

  • Mindset: A high level of dedication and a proactive work ethic regarding system reliability and security.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Kafka for event streaming.

  • Hands-on experience with Github Actions and ArgoCD.
