About the role

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our team and make a significant impact on the core applications at Coinmerce. As a Data Engineer, you’ll collaborate with various stakeholders, including Trading Technology and Development teams but also Business teams to design and develop advanced data solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop data engineering solutions for Trading, Brokerage, Treasury, Finance, and Marketing projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical expertise.
  • Participate in design sessions and collaborate on other Technology team activities.
  • Maintain and optimize data pipelines from trading and brokerage platforms to our data warehouse in BigQuery.
  • Develop infrastructure for ETL processes from diverse data sources using SQL and big data technologies.
  • Establish standards for data quality, security, and integrity across all platforms to ensure reliable reporting and analytics.
  • Build analytical data models to be used for reporting and dashboards.
What you bring:
  • 6+ years of experience in a data engineering or data-centered development role.
  • Experience building and/or maintaining a data warehouse based on BigQuery.
  • Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL, time-series databases, and data analysis techniques.
  • Programming skills in Python (experience with Go or Rust is also considered).
  • Clear and concise communication skills to efficiently analyze and solve technical problems.
  • Experience in generating data reports and visualizations using tools like Google Looker or Grafana is a plus.
